Wearing the kimono by Talia.

This was the day before I did the kimono. I was super excited to wear the kimono. I had no idea what to expect but I was still super excited.

This was while I was getting my hair done. I got to pick out the hair style. There were lots of beautiful hair accessories.  I chose a beautiful flower hair clip. I really liked that she was gentle and did not pull on my hair. I was super excited to wear the kimono in the city.

This was my hair and outfit. I loved wearing it all around the city. Lots of other people were wearing kimonos and it didn't feel weird. Peyton and dad took lots of photos everywear in the city.

These were the socks that they had me wear. Everyone in the family called them hoof socks. These kinds of socks are specially made to for the platform sandals that go with the kimono. It was pretty hard to get up stairs in the kimono and the special shoes. Other than that it was very easy to walk in. Putting on the kimono was a lot more involved than I expected. First you pick the kimono and go into the back room. Then you take off your clothes which I definitely thought was weird. Then they give you a white under dress and a pink under dress on top. Then they put on the kimono and you pick a wrap to go around your stomach. You also pick something to go on the wrap. Then they tie it in the back. It was pretty tight but was comfortable. It kinda felt like wearing a blanket. Then you get the socks and shoes, do your hair and get a bag. Than you are done and ready to go.

This was behind our airbnb. Scroll down to see some of Peyton's and dad's photos of me in the kimono.
