The House - from Peyton
This is our rental house in Kyoto. It has many cool and confusing features.
The table which is on tatami mats has a part in the middle that goes under ground and is for you to put your feet since you sit on the ground. It is big enough to fit under.
Located around the house are flash lights on the wall. When they are on the wall they are turned off. When you take them off the wall they turn on.
The shower is very nice but also confusing. You shower next to the bath tub instead of in it. You have to turn on the water heater which is in Japanese. You turn the nobs on the faucet to direct the water to the bath tub or the shower and the other nob does something else.
There is also a small bedroom with two beds on the ground upstairs.
Peyton, have you published more than about the house? Your Mom mentioned some great pictures you were going to share. All we (grandpa, Aunt Kristin and i( can find are your Mom’s and your house stuff.
ReplyDeletePeyton did one on the monkeys and another soon to come out on wrestling.
DeleteOh, and one on weird stuff in Japan is from Peyton too.
DeleteThat was an interesting house. Your houses in Europe will probably seem ordinary by comparison.
ReplyDeletefascinating house! can't imagine having to clean up under the dining table. and i have always found japanese house furnishings interesting. the talking toilet was the strangest for me!
