Monkeys by Peyton

In Kyoto there is a mountain that has a ton of monkeys and up there you can also feed them.
As we were walking up there was this warning sign about the monkeys.

While we were walking up we saw a bunch of monkeys around the trail.

There were also some monkeys that were fighting on the path. They were just monkeying around.

Near the top of the mountain there were a ton of monkeys everywhere.

There were a couple adult monkeys with baby monkeys and the baby monkeys are so cute

While you are on the top you get a good view of the mountains. Kyoto used to be the capital and where the emperor lived, because it had a natural wall of mountains surrounding it from all sides. You can see how the city is surrounded by mountains from the overlook with the monkeys.

While you are at the top you are not allowed to feed the monkeys outside because they might swarm you. But you can feed them from inside through bars. You can feed them apples or peanuts. The monkeys reach their hands through the bars to grab the food and they will take it out of your hand when you hand it to them.

This is proof Talia is one of the monkeys.

The area with all the monkeys also looked very nice and had a pond and cool trees.

  2. The monkey visit sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for giving us such a good story. I look forward to your posts. The post about the house in Japan was interesting, too.
