Taiwan by Talia
This was me at the beginning of our three month adventure. We were on the plane for five hours to get to San Francisco, stayed there for one hour, then got on another plane for fourteen hours. We got to Taiwan at four in the morning, Their Time. We got to our airbnb, and after putting down all of our stuff we went out. The night market was clearly not open yet but it was still amazing to see everything. At night when the night market did open it was amazing. There were people everywhere and stalls right, left, up, and down the street.
This is the night market and a crazy festival. The night market happens every night from four pm till two am. It's really cool to walk around it and see everything. There are endless shops, food, drinks, and games, and it's extremely big too. We are staying in a building right above it so it's pretty easy access if we want to got down to it. It is also the most famous night market in all of Taiwan. As for the festival, it was for the birthday of one of the many goddesses worshiped in temples all over Taiwan. It was extremely loud with lots and lots of fireworks, lion dancers, sword dancers, marching with statues of the goddess, and music. we could hear it all night and was amazing to go out and see it in person.
We saw so many amazing views along the way. One amazing thing about Taipei 101 is that you can see it from almost everywhere. There are so many beautiful things about Taiwan including beautiful cities, parts that are not cities, the beautiful structures, and much much more.
I love all the pictures Talia. And good commentary. I wish I were there,! ❤️

DeleteI figured out how not to be Anonymous. What I want to know is, have you tried the chicken feet yet? You really need to do that. I want to understand what makes them tasty. Please, Talia?!
ReplyDeleteThe chicken feet look disgusting. They have claws and everything.
DeleteYeah, but watch how happy the Chinese people all look when they’re chewing on those ugly chicken feet. There’s got to be something really good about them. Be brave and tell me about it!
DeleteI just became a vegetaryan, until we get anything good thats not vegetaryan.
DeleteWow! It looks like you guys have seen and done so much already! Are you just staying up until 2am every night, or are you able to sleep with the market going on down below?
ReplyDeleteYeah, we are able to sleep but it is pretty loud, so I have been using earplugs.
